ROOTS SUMMIT 2024

The 2024 ROOTS SUMMIT will take place from 9 to 12 May at the Eugenides Foundation in Athens in Greece.

Attendees can expect the great experiences that ROOTS SUMMIT participants always enjoy in addition to the same high-calibre level of clinical practice that members of the online endodontic study group have relied on for over 20 years. This includes practical information provided by panelists from nine countries and technique tips that can be immediately incorporated into improving practice.

The meeting originally started as a mailing list of a large group of endodontic enthusiasts in the 1990s. Since the establishment of a dedicated Facebook group in 2012, the ROOTS SUMMIT has increased its membership from just under 1,000 participants to its current level of almost 29,000, including many global endodontic opinion leaders. Well over 100 countries are represented.

Our mission is to be an open and inclusive global learning forum accessible to anyone involved in the practice of endodontic therapy. Discussions regarding endodontic treatment, the various issues that affect the patient, prognosis, current literature, new equipment, and new procedures and protocols, among other topics, are moderated by an all-volunteer group of endodontists to ensure a professional and respectful manner is maintained.

While at ROOTS SUMMIT, presenters, exhibitors and attendees were able to conduct some valuable networking and forge new friendships on Friday evening.



ROOTS SUMMIT attendees were serenaded with traditional accordion playing.



Once they realised how much fun was to be had, many attendees registered for the evening programme at U Fleků and were rewarded with great conversation, food and music.



Attendees were eager to celebrate with renowned presenter Gianluca Gambarini in a more personal setting at the historic U Fleků brewery.



Dr Radek Mounajjed, joint presentation titled “Root to crown: advanced adhesive endodontic/restorative concept” was well received by attendees.



Among other valuable skills, Drs Radek Mounajjed and Daniel Černý (pictured) taught ROOTS SUMMIT attendees how to identify clinically relevant factors for reconstruction of nonvital teeth and teeth with challenged vitality.
